Ironwood - Students from Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood celebrated homecoming on Friday with a parade through downtown Ironwood, a football game and a homecoming dance for grades nine through 12.
The parade was led by the school marching band and included floats for the freshman, sophomore, junior and senior classes, as well as one with the homecoming court.
The parade started near the Ironwood Public Safety Department and went through downtown on its way to the school.
Family members, teachers and other community members lined the streets to watch the parade.
Later in the evening, the Red Devils football team defeated the visiting Brimley Bays 38-32 at Longyear Field.
The homecoming court was formally announced at halftime and consisted of Elisabeth Braucher, Anna Buerger, Gavin Delich, Aidan Graser, Sean Korpella, Hannah Kreiner, Zaida Lagalo, Von Lyons, Jestin Matusewic, Aundrea Stengard and Sylvia Tiziani. After the varsity football game, Delich and Buerger were named king and queen at the homecoming dance.
