Sled Dog Conditioning

Ali Kreft, of Ironwood, does some long-boarding with her two sled dog huskies, Iroh, left, and Mika, at Depot Park on Thursday. The seasonal training for her four sled dogs starts with the cool weather and the more experienced Mika, 4, is helping to condition the younger, Iroh, who is about to turn 1. Kreft said she also takes the dogs skijoring, but is mostly into dog sledding as she observes and learns the sled dog culture.
