WEST ALLIS, Wis. - Doug Kaho passed away peacefully on Jan. 14, 2022, after a hard fought 5-year battle with cancer.
Doug spent the first half of his childhood in Fort Worth, Texas, and the second half in Ramsay, Michigan. His adolescence was filled with adventures in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with lifelong friends who supported him despite his hearing loss, that though a challenge, never defined him.
After graduating from A.D. Johnston High School in Bessemer, Doug moved to Milwaukee, and began work at P&H Mining (now Komatsu) where he was an employee and proud union member for 45 years. Doug had a passion for photography; always being behind the lens to document his children, grandchildren, and favorite nature scenes.
Doug is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Amelia Kaho; brother, Matthew; sons, Chad (Jessica) Barker and Dan (Jessica) Kaho; daughter Breanna (Matt) Nordseth; grandchildren, Evan and Catelyn Kaho, and Hattie Barker; niece, Rhonda Kaho; and nephew, Brian Kaho.
A private family internment at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin will be held with a larger celebration of life at a later date.
