MELLEN, Wis. - Mary E. Ruha, age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, at the Mellen Manor Nursing Home in Mellen. Mary was born on Dec. 3, 1930, in Ashland, the daughter of Alphonse and Clara (Emmerling) Veno.
Mary was united in marriage to Arthur W. Ruha on April 13, 1955, in Carlton, Minnesota. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, animals, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Sharron Cohoon of Alpena, Michigan, Diane Ruha of Ironwood, Michigan, Pennie (David) Aspinwall of Ironwood, Arthur A. Ruha of Hurley, and James (Beth) Ruha of Blue Grass, Iowa; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur; brother, Alvin; and daughter, Katherine Ruha.
No funeral service will be held at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are to do a kindness or good deed for others.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Mountain Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ashland and Mellen.
