HURLEY - The city of Hurley's first female mayor, Joanne Bruneau, was sworn in at the full council meeting on Tuesday. New alderpersons Joseph Pinardi and Rita Franzoi, who ran unopposed for open seats on the council left vacant by departing mayor Jay "Budgey" Aijala and Steven Lombardo, also took their oaths of office at the meeting.
