Roberta Lee 'Bobbie' Bergquist

GILE, Wis. – Roberta Lee "Bobbie" Bergquist, 78, a lifelong resident of Gile, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 5, 2022.

Roberta was born on Jan. 9, 1944, in Ironwood, Michigan, a daughter of Robert James and Lena Mary (Redolphi) Peterson. She attended Hurley High School and graduated in 1962.

On Sept. 7, 1964, Roberta was united in marriage to the love of her life, Jon Axel Bergquist, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hurley. They made their home in Gile and were blessed with three sons.

Bobbie is survived by her husband, Jon; two sons, Cory, Montreal, and Scott, Niederwald, Texas; two cherished grandchildren, Breanna and Brenden; two sisters, Gloria Johnson and Shirley (Roger) Selves; her brother-in-law, Dan Niemi; numerous dear nieces, nephews and cousins; and the Bergquist families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jon Robert "JR;" and a sister, Karen Niemi.

Cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held.

Interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Hurley.
