GURNEY, Wis. - On Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, James Rowe went to be with the love of his life, Gloria. He passed away at home in Gurney, surrounded by love and memories.
Jim was born on Feb. 20, 1946, to Lester and Lucille Rowe. He was the youngest of seven children. He married Gloria Luoma on Nov. 4, 1972. Jim and Gloria lived on the family farm in Gurney and together raised their five children.
Jim loved hunting and fishing, raising crops, taking care of his chickens, making maple syrup, and being outdoors.
Jim will be dearly missed by family, friends and neighbors; his children, daughters, Jessie (Aaron) Bender, Jackie (Aaron) Tarnaski, and Joel (Josh) Hall, and son, Jeremie Rowe; son-in-law, John Sessler; his 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gloria Rowe; daughter, Jamie Jo Sessler; brothers, Richard and Dave Rowe; sisters, Doris Ofstad and Janice Rice; parents; and mother- and father-in-law.
The family would like to invite everyone to attend the celebration of life on Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Gurney Community Center from noon to 3 p.m.
We will leave everyone with one of Jim's favorite sayings. "I'll see you when I see you."
