WAKEFIELD, Mich. — Clayton Thomas McCosker, 53, of Wakefield, was born to eternal life on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Carol McCosker.
Clayton is survived by his brother, Wayne (Janis); his sister, Karen (Alan Lemke); an aunt, Jaoana Dean; and a nephew and four nieces, Tom, Carol, Caroline, Katie and Lindsey.
Undeterred by his physical and mental disabilities, Clayton’s jovial personality and gentleness was contagious and endearing to all those fortunate enough to be in his life. We are forever grateful for Clayton’s friends and the entire staff at Lakeshore. They were his true family, at his side and lovingly caring for him with sincere kindness and dedication.
Clayton made the best of and adapted to his lot in life, an example for all of us. If you knew him, you can hear his unmistakable laugh and see his joyful smile. Clayton loved his family and enjoyed his pretzels, clam dip, cars and trucks, balls, E.T., airplanes, boat rides, bowling and social outings.
He will be forever loved and forever missed.
At the family’s request, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
Burial will take place at the Watersmeet Township Cemetery in Watersmeet.
Jerald Rocco, owner and manager of Lakeside Memorial Chapel Inc., in Wakefield, is assisting the family with their arrangements.
