IRONWOOD, Mich. — Angeline Virginia "Angie" Wilson left this life to be with her loved ones on Nov. 18, 2022. She was born on May 21, 1928, to John and Anna Conedera in Milwaukee. As a young girl, the family moved to Berkeley, California. She attended school there, graduating from Berkeley High in 1945.
In 1946, she moved to Gogebic County to begin her life. She lived with relatives for a short time. Angie worked as a telephone operator for a while, but she really didn't care for it. Her passion was cooking and baking. She worked as a baker for many years, retiring from the Dandee Bakery in Bessemer.
In 1947, she met the love of her life, Rusty. They married in June 1950. They remained devoted to each other for 59 years.
She was very strong-willed, caring and generous, always thinking of others, and would help anyone and everyone in any way she could. "Don't lie, don't cheat, don't steal, and treat everyone with respect." That is how she lived her life. She loved to cook, There was always something to eat when you came to visit, whether you were hungry or not. "Eat! There's more!" She wasn't happy until she fed you.
Her hobbies included baking, crocheting, knitting, picking apples, berries and mushrooms, and making wine out of just about anything. She also liked to go on long walks with her dog, Boogie, and spending time with family at camp or wherever.
She is survived by her son, Chris; daughter-in-law, Renee; four grandchildren, Heather, Eric, Casey and Toni; seven great-grandchildren; brother, John; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rusty, in 2009; daughter, Diane in 2017; her parents; brother; Guido; and sister, Elvera.
In accordance with Ma's wishes, her ashes will be laid to rest with Rusty's. There will be no funeral.
The family would like to thank the staff at Westgate Nursing in Ironwood for the excellent care and friendship they gave her. She was very fond of you all.
Ta-ta for now, I'll be talkin' to ya, Ma!
