Donna Marie Eifolla

MARSHFIELD, Wis. - Donna Marie Eifolla, 67, of Saxon, passed away on Monday, Nov. 14, 2022, at the Marshfield Medical Center.

She was born to Norbert J. and Mayona (Rowe) Buinowski on April 17, 1955, in Bessemer Township, Michigan. She attended Sleight and Holy Trinity-St. Michael's grade schools and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood, Michigan, in 1973.

She furthered her education at Gogebic Community College in Ironwood where she earned her LPN degree. Then she went on to work as an LPN at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, Wisconsin. While raising her young family, she returned back to the Ironwood area to pursue her RN degree. After graduation, she played an integral part in developing Villa Home Health in Hurley, Wisconsin. In 1999, she advanced her career by accepting the position of assistant director of nursing/clinical supervisor with Villa Maria Health and Rehabilitation Center. She retired to spend her time with the love of her life, Gregory Eifolla. They shared 27 years of love, happiness and adventures, and every moment was cherished by both.

Donna enjoyed being outdoors. She loved the beach, campfires, fishing, driving her side-by-side, and most of all cruising on her mainship boat named "Idle Time." Many boating trips were enjoyed with great friends visiting the Lake Superior beaches and islands only accessible by boat.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mayona Buinowski; brothers, Thomas Buinowski and Norbert Buinowski Jr .; daughter, Kristi Mae Kivi; and spouse, Gregory Eifolla.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Faith D'Angelo; granddaughter, Angela Kivi; grandsons, Anthony and Matthew D'Angelo; father, Norbert Buinowski Sr .; sister, Charlotte (Jeff) Behrendt; nephews, Michael (June) Behrendt and Marc (Rachael) Behrendt; and other numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends, and her very special fur baby, Sugar.

Mom, all those that love you find comfort in knowing that you kept your promise - to find your loved ones that you lost along the way. Now your search is over.

Donna has been cremated and a private service has taken place according to her wishes.

A private graveside committal will be at Riverside Cemetary in Ironwood at a later date.
