HURLEY, Wis. - Fredrick James Sandquist, Jr., 70, of Hurley, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023.
Fred was born on Nov. 13, 1952, to Fredrick and Constance (Delmet) Sandquist in Wakefield.
Fred worked for Brite Spot Bar in Hurley for many years. He enjoyed bowling, playing pool and some gambling. Fred like to tinker on things in his yard and loved watching the Wolverines and Packers.
He will be missed by his children, Deanna Murphy, Christin (Dan) Pribek, Derek (Nicole) Sandquist, Stacey (Ryan) Sandquist, Justin (Katherine) Sandquist and Amber (Nathan) Sandquist; sister, Linda (John) Lesky, and brother, Scott Sandquist; and grandchildren, Devin, Olivia, Antonio, Greyson, Chance, Darian, Jacie, Jaidon, Hannah, Jenna, Maverick, Courtney, Caleb, Benjamin, Maddix and Lucas. Fred is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Fredrick James Sandquist III.
A celebration of Fred's life will be held at the Brite Spot Bar in Hurley at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 20.
