HURLEY, Wis. - Dylan Thomas Conhartoski, 28, of Hurley, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 30, 2023.
Dylan was born on Aug. 16, 1994, to Roman "Muzzy" Jr. and Patti Conhartoski at Grand View Hospital in Ironwood, Michigan. He was a 2012 graduate of the Hurley High School. After graduation, Dylan furthered his education in heavy equipment operation and attended North Country Heavy Equipment School in Escanaba, Michigan, graduating in October 2012. He then went on to work for White Construction and Push Inc. excavating for cable lines alongside his brother, Trever. Dylan and Trever would often times argue and joke about who was the better operator.
Dylan enjoyed going bird hunting, riding his side-by-side or four-wheeler, woodworking and playing Call of Duty on his PlayStation. Dylan loved spending time with his family, especially playing football with his nephews. The Fourth of July was his favorite holiday bringing all his favorite things together: family, grilling, cooking and sitting around a campfire.
Dylan's smile was like a sudden beam of sunlight and would immediately light up a dark room when he entered. Dylan's family was most important to him and he was always willing to help his family out with shoveling roofs, letting the family dogs outside, weed eating, putting roofs on, snow blowing, cutting, splitting and piling wood, and anything else they would need help with.
Dylan will be sadly missed by his loving parents, Roman and Patti; brothers, Thomas (Marisa), Cory (Ellyn) and Trever (Kaitlyn); nephews and nieces, Rylan, Landon, Aydan, Carson, Calvin, Everleigh and Elilah; aunts and uncles, Gina (Nichole), Nathan (Renee), Sherry (Ron), Tom and Connie (Billy); grandmother, Marci; special cousins, Kyle, Emily, Cheyanne, John and Nicole, and several cousins and friends he didn't know he had; and family dogs, Sophie, Lola, Riley, Camry and Rexy.
He will also be missed by close friends; Allyson, Holly, Courtney, Colton, Matt (Cora), Luke, Jeff and Joe, Jake, Zak, Blaike, Danielle, Gage, Wade, Tyler L., Tyler S., Joey S. and Eli. He will be further missed by other family and friends.
Dylan was preceded in death by his, Grandma Pat and Papa, Grandpa Muzzy and Uncle Ryan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Thursday, May 11, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. with a Mass following. Everyone is welcome to a luncheon in the church hall after Mass.
