Helen Marie Lawver (nee Semo) entered eternal life May 18, 2023.
One of 12 children born to John and Mary Semo, she was born on March, 28, 1929, in Ironwood, Michigan. She was married to Benone Lawver on April 7, 1945, and they celebrated 50 years of marriage together.
Their marriage was blessed with three beautiful daughters, Joyce A. (John) Marks of Sussex, Wisconsin; Molly K. (Kevin) Allmendinger of Lecanto, Florida; and Renee M. (DJ) Smidl of Ironwood. They were blessed with nine grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Benone Lawver; and 10 siblings.
She is survived by her three daughters; and her youngest sibling, Elizabeth "Betty" Semo of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.
Helen was the most talented seamstress and dressed her children well. A born again Christian later in life, Helen's love of the Lord was shared with many and her favorite Bible verse was the 23rd Psalm.
Special thanks to daughter, Joyce Marks, and granddaughter, Mary "Doolda" Regozzi, for their never ending care and devotion and to the staff at Vitas Hospice for their compassionate care.
She was buried next to Ben at Wood National Cemetery in Milwaukee on Friday, May 26.
