EAGLE RIVER, Mich. - Stephanie Helmers, age 74, a resident of Eagle River, passed away on June 10, 2023, at her home in Eagle River.
Stephanie was born on July 29, 1948, to parents Steve and Lois (Hass) Jonovic. She graduated from high school in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. In the summer of 1989, Stephanie married the love of her life Scott Helmers.
Stephanie loved gardening in her flower garden. Stephanie also enjoyed fishing and cooking; she was a phenomenal cook. She enjoyed thrifting and going to rummages.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Lois Jonovic; her father-in-law, Harold Helmers; and brother-in-law, Daniel Helmers.
She is survived by her loving husband, Scott Helmers; her mother-in-law, Marge Helmers; and her sisters-in-law, Julie Canarr, Holly Helmers and Amy Helmers. She is also survived by her stepdaughters, Tamara Helmers, Amanda Helmers and Megan Tallard.
