WEST ALLIS, Wis. - Kenneth Robert "Bob" Flaa, age 87, went to be with his Lord on June 18, 2023, while receiving care at Aurora Medical Center in West Allis.
Bob was born to the late Peter and Agnes (Erickson) Flaa on May 7, 1936, in Ironwood, Michigan, and grew up in Bessemer, Michigan. He graduated from A.D. Johnston High School in Bessemer in 1954. In 1961, Bob's division in the U.S. Army National Guard was called up for a one-year tour of service in the state of Washington during the Berlin Crisis. After his tour was completed, he returned to Kenosha, where he worked for American Motors-Chrysler until his retirement. After his retirement, Bob and Luetta moved back to the U.P. and enjoyed a great retirement in "Yooper" territory. In 2022, Bob and Luetta moved to the greater Milwaukee area to be closer to their children.
Over his lifetime, Bob was active in his church, was a great woodworker, a clock maker, a "Mr. Fix-it" and loved to fish, hunt and boat. He was a proud Grandpa and Great Papa to 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
