WAKEFIELD, Mich. - Ronald Lee "Ronnie" Lillie, 57, of Wakefield, formerly of Marenisco, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023, after a brief illness.
Ronnie was born on June 4, 1966, in Three Rivers, Michigan, a son of Wanna M. (Taylor) and Edward E. Lillie Sr.
He loved to work and was employed at the time of his death at Smily's Excavating in Wakefield.
In his free time, Ronnie liked going to hunting camp with his buddies, racing and working on his stock car, riding his side-by-side and motorcycle and having coffee with his friends. He gave everyone a hard time, always laughing and joking and had a good time wherever he went.
Ronnie is survived by his mother, Wanna; a brother, Edward Jr. (Penny), Alma, Wisconsin; a sister, Evelyn Lillie (Howard Martis), Marenisco; his best friend, Jill Orlich, Wakefield; his daughters, Amber (Robbie) Kral, and their children, Chase and Robert, all of Ashley, Michigan, Rebeccah (Brandon) Abrams, and their children, Aria and Levi, all of Minot, North Dakota, Elizabeth (Aaron) Kemp, and their children, Calub and Skyanna, all of Wausau, Wisconsin, and Rhonda Lillie, and her children, Kayden, Aryana, Aaliyah and Peter, all of Mosinee, Wisconsin; a son, Nick Orlich, Ironwood; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; several aunts; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Sr .; and two brothers, Dennis and Samuel Sr.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place.
A celebration of Ronnie's life will be held on Saturday, July 22, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 9:30 a.m., at the Marenisco Township Hall, 314 Hall St., in Marenisco. The Rev. Todd Winkler, pastor of Cornerstone Church in Ramsay, will officiate.
Committal service and interment will take place at the Marenisco Cemetery.
A luncheon will be served at the town hall immediately upon return from the cemetery.
