HURLEY, Wis. - Richard F. Taylor, 85, of Hurley, passed away on Sept. 17, 2023.
He was born on Dec. 9, 1937. Richard was a gentle, kind, loving husband and father, who enjoyed conversations with family and friends.
Richard served in the U.S. Army and was a decorated marksman, but he enjoyed working as a chef during his time in the Army. After his military service, Richard had a successful career at J.L. Case, where he retired in 1989.
Following his retirement, he followed his heart and became a CNA.
Richard's passion was baking, specializing in cakes. He found joy in making cakes for his loved ones' special events.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Virginia Cristo; and sister, Darla Yingling.
Richard is survived by his sons, Fred (Jill) Taylor of Las Vegas and Brian (Anne) Taylor of Kenosha; daughter, Liz (Chris) Bryant of Las Vegas; sister, JoEllen Paschkewitz; 11 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services are to be held at a later date.
