GREEN BAY, Wis.. - John Keith Verville, 56, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully at Aurora Hospital after a lengthy illness on Oct. 8, 2023, with his family by his side.
John was born in White Pine, Michigan, on Dec. 5, 1966, to Keith and Mary "Dolly" Verville. He graduated from White Pine High School in 1985. Throughout his college years, John and his friends formed a band called Main Street, where he was the drummer. They played almost every weekend and had quite the local following. John always had the biggest smile in the room and knew exactly how to make you laugh.
John graduated with his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Northern Michigan University in 1989, and went on to work for the state of Wisconsin as a correctional officer for 26 years. His greatest achievement was being a father and he more than succeeded at that. He never missed a game or competition and he always supported and loved his children through everything they did.
John is survived by his mother, Mary "Dolly" Verville-Pakonen of White Pine; his sister, Mary Beth (Dick) Barlock, Bergland; his three daughters, Jacqueline Verville, Jessica (Cassandra) Verville and Danielle (Tyler) Mosupye, all of Green Bay; the mother of his children, Elizabeth (Leiker) Wigger; and his two granddaughters, Kali Verville and Aurielle Mosupye.
He was preceded in death by his father, Keith Verville.
A private funeral service will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bergland.
