Frank Orlich

OCONOMOWOC, Wis. - Frank Orlich passed away at the age of 92, in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

Frank was born in Wakefield on June 15, 1931, to Rade and Antonia Orlich. Frank attended the Wakefield schools, graduating in 1949.

Upon graduation, Frank served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954, when he was honorably discharged.

Frank was a barber in the Milwaukee area for 40 years. Upon his retirement, Frank and his brothers, Rick, Joe and Bobby, opened a bar in Milwaukee naming it the Balkan Lounge, where Frank and brother Rick's polka band would play on weekends.

Over the 4th of July, the band would team up with musician brother, Mike Orlich, and good friend, accordion player Jimmy Budgick, and entertain at their sister Mary's and Vern's Club 28 in Wakefield.

Frank was predeceased by brothers, George, Mike, Rudy, Louis and Rick; and sisters, Sophie, Mary and Angie.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Virginia; two daughters, Sandy and Judy; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews; along with brothers, Joe and Bobby.

At Frank's request, private services will be held. Frank's final resting place will be in Weyauwega, Wisconsin.
