TROUT CREEK, Mich. - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Robert James DeVowe, who went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 16, 2023, due to natural causes.
Bob, born on Nov. 1, 1968, in Ishpeming, was a cherished son, brother, and friend, whose memory will forever remain in our hearts.
Bob is survived by his loving parents, Alice and Eugene DeVowe; and his sisters, Pamela Elverum (Ian), Cheryl DeVowe (Jeffrey Gross), and Renee Baker.
Though Bob did not have children of his own, he was a beloved uncle to his many nieces and nephews: Brittany Forsythe (Alex), Michael Elverum (Anna), Amber Hull, Angela Hull, Ava Baker, Emily Baker and Logan Baker. He is also survived by great-nieces and great-nephews: Levi Elverum, Grayson Elverum, Kinsley Elverum and Emmett Forsythe; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Bob enjoyed his position at Arctic Fox in Delano, Minnesota, where his dedication and hard work were evident throughout his time with the company. Outside of work, Bob found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He loved nature, planting apple trees, fishing, the Minnesota Vikings, and visiting the Perttula Farm in Bruce Crossing.
Bob's journey from school in White Pine to graduation in Mt. Iron, Minnesota, was marked by kindness and love for those around him. Later, he settled in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
A celebration of Bob's life will take place in the spring of 2024 at the Agate Cemetery in Trout Creek. Details regarding the service will be shared with family and friends closer to the date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to a charity of your choice in Bob's memory.
Please accept our sincere thanks for your support during this difficult time.
