SALOME, Ariz. - Michael Keller, age 63, of Salome, Arizona, (formerly of Ironwood, Michigan, and Dickinson, North Dakota) passed away on Dec. 24, 2023, after a brief illness. He was born on Feb. 10, 1960, in Tacoma, Washington, to Eugene Keller and Marlene (Rykowski) Stanley.
Michael was known for his sense of humor and his ability to bring laughter to those around him. He had a lifelong love of fishing and more recently enjoyed taking UTV rides and searching for rocks in the desert. Mike was always a hard worker, driving truck for Tesoro in Dickinson after his 20-plus years at C&M Oil in Bessemer, Michigan.
Michael also served in the U.S. Marine Corps; he was very proud of his time served. His time in the Marines further instilled in him a sense of honor and discipline.
Michael is survived by his fiancée, Lisa; his son, David; daughter-in-law, Susan; granddaughter, Mia; confidant and friend, Deb; stepdaughter, Heather (Ryan); stepsons, Ronald Jr. (Ed) and Brent (Amber); and grandson, Bryce. He is also survived by his brothers, Art (Rita) and Steve (Linda); sisters, Laura (Barry) and Michelle (Craig); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Keller; mother, Marlene (Rykowski) Stanley; stepfather, Roger Stanley; sister, Susan Sand; brother-in-law, Kenneth Sand; niece, Skylar Stanley; and his love, Holly Strom.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date to be determined. The details will be shared with close family and friends.
Mike will be remembered for his humor, love of fishing, and his adventurous spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter and cherished memories.
