He was born on the May 5, 1945, to Joseph and Roselle Adams. Dan attended St. Ambrose Catholic schools and graduated with the class of 1963.

Dan served six years with the U.S. Army National Guard before enlisting in the U.S. Navy. After serving his county Dan joined the Xcel Power company team and after many faithful years he retired and became a Master Gardner. Alongside his wife, they took care of many flower gardens around the community. The Pocket Park in Ironwood and veterans flowers around the region were a priority, and the community garden at Norrie Park in Ironwood. He was quite proud of the flowers and vegetables, along with the park-like setting of their yard. He gave many tours of the garden and the fish pond. Come harvest time his generosity came into play with donations of vegetables and fruit to the area food banks, along with the needy.

Daniel was a quiet person with a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. He showed his building skills when asked to build two bridges at Eagle Bluff Gold Course and when finished with those he then built an archway for the Pocket Park.

Dan is survived by his brother-in-law, David Bloshenko of Cheney, Washington; nephews, Matthew of Spokane Valley, Washington, Myron (Annie) and Gavin and Meadow all of Neenah, Wisconsin, Brian (Tiffany), Margot and Matthijs all of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, and Sarah and Aria of Colorado Springs, Colorado; along with numerous friends to include the Leonard Street gang, the daily coffee club, and we can't forget his faithful dog, Tsu-Lin.
