FLORENCE, Wis. - June Marie Pauliot, 77, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at her home, with her two daughters and a granddaughter by her side.
She was born on September 14, 1946, in Stambaugh, Mich., to the late Walter and Bethel (Schultz) Clements.
June, also known as "June Bug," grew up in Stambaugh, graduating from Stambaugh High School in 1965. After graduation, she moved to Milwaukee, where she got her certification as a nurse's aide. June later moved back to the Upper Peninsula, still working as a nurse's aide, then transitioning into home health care before finally retiring in the late 1990's.
She met Robert Pauliot through a friend, and the two hit it off. After a short courtship, they married on September 22, 1975. They raised six children together until Robert's passing in 1996.
June enjoyed campfires, country music, trips to the casinos and spending time with her family. She had a big heart and gave much of herself. June touched many lives, and everyone loved her. She was an amazing cook and always had food to share.
June had compassion for most people and always had a good story or two to tell. She had a quick wit about her and tried to find the good in all people. Holidays were very important to her, and she looked forward to spending them with all of her children and grandchildren. June looked forward to July when her siblings and cousins would come home to visit. Family was her whole world. June Bug will be missed by many. She was a bright light on a dim day.
June is survived by her sons, Wendell (Maria) Pauliot, David (Andrea) Claus, Robert (Chris) Pauliot, and Andrew Pauliot; daughters, Christa (Duwane) Smith, Beth Ann Pauliot, and Kelly Hood; brother, Walter (Dorreen) Clements; sister, Sherry (John) Baker; and 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert V. Pauliot.
In accordance with June's wishes, private family services will be held.
