IRONWOOD, Mich. - Carol Novascone, 69, of Ironwood, passed away at her home on Friday, May 10, 2024.
Carol was born on June 27, 1954, to John and Doris (Nelson) McRae. She attended schools in Ironwood and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School. She was united in marriage on Sept. 29, 1979, to Dennis E. Novascone.

Carol always had a crochet or knitting project going and would always have a stockpile for you to go pick out whatever you needed.
She was famous for making her rigatoni's for family functions and always made way more than what was needed so everyone had some to take home.
She always made sure she had "snacks" available for when you visited. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She will be missed by all of her family and friends beyond measure.
Carol is survived by her son, Chad (Jill) of Ironwood; step-son, Scott of Bessemer, and step-daughter, Maria of Green Bay, Wisconsin. She will also be missed by grandchildren, Jaelyn and Jace of Ironwood, Ciara, Bethany and Isabella Novascone of Grand Rapids, Alyssa Kitzman, of Marinette, Wisconsin, and Spencer Kitzman of Green Bay.
Also surviving are sisters, Sue (Jerry) Anderson of Ironwood, and Peggy (Steve) Bryant, of Wasilla, Alaska; brothers, Dave (Cindy) McRae, Tom (Carol) McRae, Ironwood, Kelly (Jeannie) McRae of Howell, Brian (Jackie) McRae of Trinity, North Carolina, and Dennis (Mary) McRae of Ironwood; sisters-in-law, Bella (Roy) Contratto of Bessemer, Ginny Novascone of Ironwood; and brother-in-law, Tom Novascone of Bessemer. She also had numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dennis in 2021; and her brother, Jim "Boomer" McRae.
Visitation for Carol will be held on June 29, from 8 a.m. to the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Father Brian Gerber officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood.
The family has chosen the McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home in Ironwood to honor Carol's legacy of life.
