WINCHESTER, Wis. - Evelyn "Flossie" Pauline Sturgeon, 77, of Winchester, Wisconsin, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
She was born on May 12, 1947, in Nashville and adopted by Eugene and Chris Minnis. Flossie was united in marriage with Lawrence "Larry" Sturgeon on Nov. 24, 1966.
She was a cashier at LaPorte's IGA in Manitowish Waters for many years and she loved talking with everyone. Once Flossie retired and didn't physically see everyone anymore, she loved to spend her time on Facebook catching up.
In her younger years, Flossie took great pride in dressing up as the Easter Bunny, Mrs. Claus and Rainbow the Clown. She attended all of her son Scott's sporting events and was always his biggest fan.
Flossie and Larry enjoyed wintering in Florida where she enjoyed taking her golf cart rides. She also loved taking all her grandkids on golf cart rides at their home, singing oldies along the way.
Flossie will be deeply missed by her husband, Larry; son, Scott of Park Falls; three grandchildren, Allen, Peyton and Harper; and her brothers, Jackie and Gary Minis. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Admeirl, and her beloved dogs.
