Pete Anderson

APPLETON, Wis. - Pete Anderson, 64, of Appleton, Wisconsin, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024 after surviving nearly 10 years following a stroke.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan, Oct. 26, 1959, and was adopted months later by Arthur "Art" and Lillian (Helmes) Anderson.

Pete was a carpenter and caregiver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gathering with family and friends, and sharing his many interesting adventures. Anyone who knew him would say if they needed help he would be there. His selfless devotion to us all has been deeply missed. Often, he knew just what to say to us when we needed it most. His humor was quite well known too.

He loved being in nature and being around animals, especially the many great pets he had through the years. As an avid Detroit sports fan, we knew what his Lions meant to him and often joked that they would win a Super Bowl after he died. Place your bets now!

Pete married the love of his life, Lori, on April 7, 1979. Through thick and thin, in sickness and health, they were joined at the hip. It was never Pete or Lori, it was always, and will ever be, Pete n' Lori. Lori preceded him in death on May 20, 2018.

Surviving Pete are two sons, Peter (Leslie) of Wausau, and Michael of Green Bay; grandchildren, Kylie, Henry and Grace; and his loving sister, Sue Tinoco.

The family would like to acknowledge the excellent care he was provided at Edenbrook of Appleton.

A graveside service will be held for family on June 1, at 11 a.m. at the Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood, and we would like to invite all who wish to celebrate his life with us to Norrie Park at 1 p.m.

The family has chosen the McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home to honor Peter's legacy of life. To make an online condolence visit McKevittPatrickFuneralHome.com.
