Mary Kay Kivi

IRONWOOD — Mary Kay Kivi, 66, of Ironwood, Michigan, was called to her heavenly home on May 31, 2024, at her Ayer Street home.

Mary Kay was born on Jan. 18, 1958, to George and Phyllis Kivi. She lived a life full of challenges. The family is very grateful for the many years of guardianship provided by her cousin, Connie Lekander, and also a big thank you to Beth Turonie for being an amazing caregiver at the group home. They always assured the family that Mary Kay was safe and well cared for.

Mary Kay is survived by her sister, Ginger Kivisto (Forrest); brothers, George Kivi and Ken Kivi (Beth), all of Ironwood, and Scott (Dee) Kivi of Sault Saint Marie, Mich .; nephews, Corey (Melissa) Kivisto and Joshua Kivi; and niece, Krystal (Nick) Averitt; great nephews and nieces and numerous supportive cousins.

Mary Kay was preceded in death by her father and mother and her niece, Stacey Kivisto.

Private burial is being planned at a later date.
