SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass. - Phillip Gordon Jacquart, 87, of Southbridge, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on June 23, 2024.
Born March 14, 1937, to Gordon and Gertrude Jacquart in Ironwood, Michigan, he is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; her two children, Lisa and Scott; and his children, Kendall and Kathy. He was preceded in passing by his son, Robert, who died in February 2023.
Phillip graduated from Luther L Wright High School in Ironwood, class of 1955. He was a radarman in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1959 on the USS Mitsher DL-2 out of Newport, Rhode Island.
He went on to a 30+ year career in the motion picture industry with RCA Service Company and National Cinema Service as Northeast regional manager.
He was a member of the Foundation of Motion Picture Pioneers, a past member of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees.
He was a kind, likable man of many researched interests and intellect. He enjoyed conversations with anyone about almost anything and was always there for great advice.
Drawn to the ocean, he especially enjoyed time on the outer cape of Cape Cod and the tranquility of Boothbay Harbor, Maine.
He will be greatly missed, and will be put to rest at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, on Cape Cod.
