Quilt of Valor

DISPLAYING the "Quilt of Valor" that was presented to U.S. Army veteran Aaron DeMarte of Wakefield on June 29 at VFW Post 9084 are, from left, Zoey DeMarte, Aaron DeMarte, Christine Eid, Shari Hamilton, Linda Bigelbach, Nancy Simonson, Lori Lizak, Michelle Royal, Mary Lou Anderson, Sue Templin, Gail Speer, Heather Spring and Judy Kahila. The quilt was created by women around the nation who engage in the project as a means of honoring the men and women who serve their country. The cause is known as Quilts of Valor.
