Bonnie Raye Trombley

HURLEY, Wis. – Bonnie Raye Trombley, 77, of Hurley, formerly of Ironwood, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024, in Hurley.

Bonnie was born on Sept. 14, 1946, in Ashland, a daughter of Raymond and Lorraine (Oie) Trombley. She attended St. Ambrose High School in Ironwood, Michigan, and graduated in 1964. Bonnie continued her education in nursing. She was a licensed practical nurse and then earned her RN degree. She was a dedicated registered nurse for 50 years.

Bonnie worked at the University of Michigan, lived and worked in Los Angeles, and concluded her distinguished career at the Memorial Medical Center in Ashland. She also worked at the health department and was a traveling nurse.

Bonnie is survived by a sister, Debbie (Ray) Bastman, Ironwood; a brother, David (Joy) Trombley, Kronenwetter; many nieces and nephews, including Keith Bastman, Amy (Andy) Tait, Carrie (Korey) Jazdzewski, Dillon Trombley, Molly Trombley and Casandra Utecht; numerous great-nephews and great-nieces, including Brianne, Brady (Jessica), Morgan, Paige, Ryder, Jenna, Jillian (Parker) Wilson, Audrey and Madelyn; and a great-great-nephew, Ari.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

At the family’s request, no service will be held.

Interment will take place at the Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood.

The family would like to express their appreciation to special friends, Pat and Jim. Also, to Dr. Theresa Sheehan and to the caring staff at the Villa Maria Health and Rehabilitation Center for their compassionate, professional care and the many kindnesses extended to the family.
