Dawn Carole Mylly

IRONWOOD, Mich. - Dawn Carole Mylly, 67, of Ironwood, passed away at home surrounded by her family, Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024. She was reunited with the love of her life, James (Jim) Mylly, who passed away in 2021.

Dawn was born Sept. 25, 1956, to Kenneth and Oddny Anderson. She grew up in North Ironwood and received her GED from Luther L. Wright High School. She had numerous jobs throughout her life as a certified nursing assistant, but enjoyed over-the-road truck driving with her husband the most.

She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dawn was an avid pool player and spent time with her many friends at the Aurora Club. Dawn was a very outspoken person and would try to help anyone in need. She never missed an event that her children or grandchildren participated in for baseball, basketball or volleyball.

Dawn is survived by her children, Jessica (Daniel) Bolich, Hurley, Wisconsin, James Mylly Jr., Ironwood, Carrie (Scott) Tirpe, Hurley, and Jason Mylly, Ironwood; her siblings, Susan (Sue) Anderson, Bergland, Eric (Jean) Anderson, Marshfield, Wisconsin, Jill (Kim) Kangas, Ironwood, and Laurie (Mark) Wesa, Wausau, Wisconsin; her grandchildren, Travis Mylly, Taylor Mylly, Caitlin Mylly, Lexi Osterholm, Austin (Sabrina) Tirpe, Daniel Bolich II and Kassidy Bolich; great-grandchildren, Millie Mae Johnson, Trevor James Scott Tirpe and Liam Robert Tyler Tirpe; numerous nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Daniel Anderson and Donald Anderson; her sisters, Linda Anderson and Sally Abramson; and a grandson, Trevor Mylly.

The family would like to thank Dr. Nathan Schoeppach from NorthLakes Community Clinic - Hurley for the special care and attention he provided to Dawn; additionally, they want to express their deep appreciation to Regional Hospice, Avanti Home Health and UPCAP.

Please join the family at a memorial service and burial to be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood. A celebration of Dawn's life will take place later that day from 3 to 8 p.m., at the Beer Barrel in Hurley.
