Bessemer Pumpkinfest

PEOPLE WALK down Sophie Street in downtown Bessemer on Saturday during Pumpkinfest. The festival saw record numbers this past weekend, according to Chairperson Donna Frello, with over 200 kids participating in the kids' costume parade. This year, organizers included a trunk-or-treat for kids following the parade, as well as a number of fun activities over the course of the day, ranging from costume contests, pumpkin-decorating contests and many other activities. Pumpkinfest celebrated its 44th year.
