MERCER, Wis. — Mercer seniors Eiley Schoeneman and Jenny Klopatek shared Player of the Year honors in the Northern Lights Conference in voting by coaches.

Schoeneman and Klopatek were also honorable mention on the Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association Division 5 All-State team.

Their teams were league and WIAA regional champions in all of their four years.

“Eiley and Jenny are often paired together when talking about our success, but each of them brought their own contributions,” Mercer coach Robyn Schoeneman said. “Each of them bring a piece to the puzzle.”

Eiley Schoeneman finished the 2024 season with 428 kills, which was good for fourth in Division 5 in Wisconsin. Her .41 hitting percentage was first in the state. She also finished with 54 aces and 181 assists.

She finished with 1,300 kills, exceeding her sister Aubrey’s total of 1,255.

Klopatek ended her career with a school record 1,855 assists. This season, she recorded 362 assists, 263 kills, 240 digs and 61 aces.

“Jenny was our playmaker, she made things happen,” coach Schoeneman said.

They were joined on the Northern Lights all-conference First Team by teammate Rylinn Rossi, Butternut’s Kendra Pritzl, Drummond’s Kyla Hanson and Mellen’s Bella Mesko-Jokinen and Anna Polencheck.

Rossi finished with 182 kills and 53 aces.

“(She) offered us another strong offensive outlet,” coach Schoeneman said.

Robyn Schoeneman was named Coach of the Year. She finished her career with 400 total wins.

Hurley’s Alexandra Tolemy and Kasey Klemme were Second Team selections.
