IRONWOOD, Mich. - With sadness we announce the passing of our sweet and beautiful mother, Nadine Pearl (Sampson) Roebuck. She passed away peacefully at her home in Ironwood, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, at the age of 71.
Nadine was born on July 23, 1953, in Gladwin, to Eugene and Vernie (Shirkey) Sampson. She graduated from Wakefield High School with honors in 1971.
Nadine met her lifelong partner, Jose Tinoco, in 2000, and shared the love of life and their blended family for 25 years. Jose and their children meant the world to her. She loved fishing, gardening, playing guitar, playing accordion, singing, painting, crafting, baking and cooking. Nadine treasured her time with her life partner, kids and grandchildren and loved them beyond measure. She had a vast ability to comfort them, and they always knew that her love was unconditional and never failing.
Nadine is survived by her lifelong partner, Jose Tinoco; a sister, Christine Sampson, and family; eight children, Deanna (Gabriel) Murphy, Michele (Josh) Rolston, Tia (Bill) Sampson, Nathan Sampson, Phillip Tinoco, Josh Tinoco, Jenna (Josh) LaMaide and Elizabeth (Steven) Bardon; 16 grandchildren, Devin, Olivia, Antonio, Christopher, Brandie, Michael, Myan, Brooklynne, Novalynn, Tomas, Antonio, Alysa, Tanner, Logan, Lily and Malia; three great-grandchildren, Parker, Forrest and Declan; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Peter Keith Roebuck; her parents; her stepfather, Donald Sampson; and two brothers, Michael Sampson and Eugene "Butch" Sampson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at Cornerstone Church, N. 10344 Mill St., in Ramsay, with the Rev. Todd Winkler and the Rev. Roy Speck officiating.
A luncheon will be served at the church fellowship hall immediately following the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting monetary donations to help with service costs.
Anyone who knew Nadine, knew that her love and talents were endless. She was dedicated to her family and nothing meant more to her. We couldn't have asked for a better "Anchor." She will be dearly missed, and our hearts are broken.
